We owe its existence to the enthusiasm of the first group of promoters, headed by Mr. José Espada Sánchez and Mr. Manuel Moreno Facar, whose project was carried out by the designers: Mr. Ramón Espinosa and Mr. Emilio Mena, who dedicated many hours of work with the only illusion of creating facilities where the people of Granada and foreigners could enjoy this exciting sport.
It is located in the sector of Las Gabias, only 8 km from Granada. A hill was chosen for its construction, where the fairways were adapted to its natural contours. That is why the fairways are mostly undulating, and in many cases have large slopes.
